When we first started our business we would take a few days out of the week to go ride around and collect reusable trash that could be restored into something beautiful and resold for a pretty profit. We would find out when trash pick up was for neighborhoods so we would know the best days to go "trash hunting". We definitely had our favorite spots. The old cliche' which says, "your trash is another man's treasure" really was true and is what gave us our wings to fly and later soar.
We started off using new wood and trying to make it look old until we found a secret....to make it look old, use old wood! Bingo...and that was it. All those old fence panels laying on the side of the road were now becoming more interesting and what we needed for our business to work.
One day we came across some old worn out white painted fence panels. When you took the pieces a part it showed these natural patches of wood giving an authentic shabby chic farmhouse look which is definitely our favorite. We decided to offer a few of these for sale on social media and they sold within minutes and so....our official original farmhouse line was born!
Our very first farmhouse original.
In our garage is where it all began. Our little guys always wanted in on some of the action.
We currently are operating in an 11,000 sq ft work space with 20 highly trained employees. Every piece of wood is hand selected then sanded and finally built into a new masterpiece just for you!
Worth a share....
How bout that presentation y'all! LOL!Nailed it!
Doug and I were so proud of this table. I think we refinished it like 5 times and put probably 50 hours into it before we tried to sell it. We ended up selling it on a Facebook Exchange Garage Sale site for like 80 bucks. Just can't get over that killer lighting and beautiful dead grass.
Okay, so I decided not to live like I had for so many years where every room of my house was cute except for mine. It's time to break out of "it's just a place to sleep" syndrome and create a beautiful place for my husband and I to enjoy (once the last kid is out of our room that is). So here it goes; my BEFORE and AFTER.
I know what you're thinkin...YIKES! You know how you have leftover nights and literally pull anything edible together and eat what you can find? Well, that's kinda how my bedroom "happened". Any leftover décor ended up getting thrown in here just to look like I half way tried. Cute, I know! I just realized there are no pillows on my bed. Hmmm...those boys!
