Shipping & Delivery

✅ Q: How are your items shipped?
A: All of our furniture ships fully assembled in custom, precise-fit packaging via FedEx to ensure it arrives safely at your door.
✅ Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Shipping is completely free! We cover the cost of shipping so you don’t have to.

Returns & Refunds

✅ Q: What if I want to return my table?
A: We do not cover return shipping for buyer’s remorse. We strongly recommend reading the listing carefully and measuring your space to ensure the item is the right fit before purchasing.

✅ Q: What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
A: If we made an error, Doug and Cristy Designs will cover the return cost. However, please note the following:
  • Character flaws (such as natural knots, variations, and imperfections in the wood) are part of the design and not considered defects. These are described in our listings and do not qualify for a prepaid return label.
  • Shipping damage is different from character flaws. If your item arrives damaged due to transit, please keep the original packaging and provide photos of the damage so we can assist you with a return or replacement.

✅Q: Where do you get your wood, and where does my item ship from?
A: We partner with several fence companies in Texas to source high-quality, reclaimed wood. Each piece is hand-selected for its character and strength. Your item is handcrafted right here in Dallas, Texas, and ships directly from our workshop.

✅Q: What makes reclaimed wood different?
A: Reclaimed wood is full of life—it has history, texture, and natural imperfections that tell a story. You may notice knots, color variations, small cracks, nail holes, or slight unevenness in grain. These features are not defects—they’re part of what makes your piece one-of-a-kind.

✅Q: What should I expect when I unbox my order?
A: Expect something genuine and unique. No two pieces are ever exactly the same. You may notice variations in tone, texture, or finish—that’s because each board has been naturally weathered over time in different conditions. We celebrate these differences, and we hope you do too.

​ Care & Character of Reclaimed Wood

 ✅Q: How do I care for my reclaimed wood furniture?
A: Reclaimed wood is full of character—knots, nail holes, texture, and color variation are part of what makes each piece one-of-a-kind. To care for your furniture:
  • Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth (no harsh chemicals). Some dust or debris may appear when wiping-this is normal due to the wood's natural texture and final sanding after shipping.
  • Avoid placing hot or wet items directly on the surface.
  • Embrace natural imperfections—these are not flaws, but features that tell the story of the wood’s past life.
